In the old days, you used to count how many days you skied in a season by counting how many old lift tickets you had on your big zipper pull. Then, you needed wire cutters to get them off and start all over again. Definitely something nostalgic about old school tickets, kind of like Geze bindings and Mother Karens pullovers. It will be interesting to see where RFID usage at resorts takes us, for example, RFID capabilities in smartphones. Buy my lift ticket on my iPhone, load it with a code, go straight to lifts.
